Head back through Mona Vale into the National Park just past Church Point (which is a trip in itself). Pay the $14 fee which is worth every cent. Head out to the lookout, take lots of photos !!! Head back, but not before turning off to Clippers Anchorage in Coal and Candle Creek. Google it, its an eye opener and has a cafe/restaurant, The Shed, at a Marina with a boat stacker facility. Easy to spend 1/2 a day on this trip.

Catch the Ferry to the Basin Camping area and discover kilometres of walking trails and even see some Aboriginal rock carvings. Before you trek off you might even be able to pat the wallabies that frequent the area but be a bit more cautious with the goannas that can be a metre long.

Avalon is our nearest shopping village just 6.2 kms back. Small but very casual and quaint with a relaxed atmosphere … don’t honk your horn except when waving tp friends. There is a Woolworths, a few banks, cinema, numerous cafes, multi cuisine restaurants, chemists, butcher, bakeries, library, hardware, hair & beauty salons, lots of other stuff and a few clothing shops.
Do the scenic walk to Rearl beach from patonga (or ettalong)

Catch a Fantasea ferry to Patonga and from the north end of the beach follow a bush track to Pearl Beach, (about an hour). There is a picturesque lookout point along the way. Have lunch at Pearls Restaurant and return via Patonga OR walk Ocean Beach and come back on the Ettalong Ferry (2 1/2 hrs). Great day out
